The $3 extra charge imposed by your online ticket service really sucks! I’ll just go to the gate and pay the extra 2 bucks. BTW….why not just say the tickets are $38 online? What’s wrong with being honest about the cost? It appears that you’ll save $5 a ticket when in fact, you don’t.

Pete, I’m sorry that you think that it is a better deal to pay $2 more at the gate than you can get on-line for our festival tickets. We are not trying to be “sneaky” by not telling you of the on-line service charge in our ticket price. I attend many concerts and sporting events and they NEVER add the convenience charge to the publicized ticket price. That’s what you’re paying for, the convenience of not having to drive to a brewery to buy a ticket, or to pay the extra $5 at the gate. Most of the time concerts charge $5-$7 per ticket extra. The $3 that our service charges is pretty reasonable. And that money does not go to the Guild. The ticket company gets that money for processing the transaction.
